noticed on INRAD site, they sell crystal filters for 540/544 - for narrow CW - I thought those rigs only had audio filtering for CW - any comments? how good are they? thanks for the bandwidth Dave K8

Know that you will need to add a circuit to switch the filter into the circuit. There are probably many ways to do that. I've seen a small toggle switch added through a little slot cut into the front

No, definitely the stock filter. Ten-Tec at various times used 2.7Khz and 2.5Khz filters during the 544 product life. Here's the stock rx audio spectra measured through my 544 back when I had it: htt

Actually I can believe Barry's claim for the 2.7 kHz. I have a few Corsairs (2 are II's) and everytime I tap into the IF chain after the 9 MHZ filter using either SDR-1000 or the Time Machine board I

Barry is right, the stock filter was 2.7; I once owned a Triton II and the rx/tx audio was excellent for that time. I received many compliments with just an ev banana mic into the rig. I did not know
