Barry, If you remove the knob and look at the back of it, you can easily see how the adjustment works. You can remove the guts and have no friction, or just set it higher on the shaft 73 Dave WA3F --

On my 302R, Orion and late Jupiter the knob tension is done by holding the skirt firmly and turning the knob. It has detents. Fernando N2FQ/6 n2fq@sbcglobal.net ______________________________________
