CWType, from DxSoft, is free. It uses a small circuit - two diodes, two resistors, one transistor (all available at Radio Shack) - to key the rig. Your cable goes from the serial port to the key jack

My N4PY software for the Argonaut V will key the ArgoV without any keying interface. It just sends software commands to the radio to key it. The program also has a built in CW keyboard. See my webapg
