Thanks to everyone for reporting what they are seeing. I perform testing at TenTec with various cat programs, and for the 566, it is behaving flawlessly with regards to the "display gibberish" issue,

One other word of note. The Orion 565 and Orion II 566 both require hardware handshaking to work properly. So, ensure that the control program does indeed have a selection to enable hardware handshak

Hi John, Please send me the fix for the 566 H/W mic gain. The other, less important issue I've seen is the sweep display reading about 2 kHz low. Hope you can fix that in the next version. Tnx & 73,
