The gold may develop surface tarnish that must be cleaned. At least we have had gold contacts on lab circuit boards get that way. I don't think the extra cost of the CB gold plated connectors justifi

I might be wrong on this, but while the gold ones look fancy....from what I have seen, they are garbage. I don't think you will find gold Amphenol UHF connectors. Perhaps someone else can correct me
