Need to ask a couple of questions. I am using a Scout mobile on cw and ssb, and on ssb, I am currently using the stock mike. As I generally operate at 1 watt, I need all the audio punch I can get, so

Michael, the Argosy uses a different type of mic than the newer rigs. It requires a high impedance mic. I use a Shure 404c with my Argosy, but it's just a hand mic. 73 Rick Need to ask a couple of qu

Have owned an Argosy for many years. Never found a better microphone for that radio than a Shure 444D. Tough to configure on a boom, but not impossible. k3yd _________________________________________

Mike: My Scout seems to like dynamic mics. I have used a Cobra CB mic and a Shure CM14A "controlled magnetic reluctance" mic with good audio reports. They seem to sound a little better than the Ten T

I have used an amplified D 104, Heil HMM, and the stock mic, mobile with my Scout. The guys on the local net prefer the D 104, Heil and stock mic in that order. It's a little silly to use a D 104 mob
