Yes, Bob, what you had there was too close to coax being half wave lengths at 17m. A tuner must always go by short coax to rig. Say no more than 5 feet, and 2 feet is ideal. 73, and GL, Stuart K5KVH

Bob, The tuner should generally be within a few feet of the transmitter. If you can arrange to use the dipole with the tuner close to the rig, you should find that it will perform better than your wh
