I don't recall saying anything about "Eagle". I was using an $800 SDR QRP transceiver. YES, the S-Meter dropped. All traces of the disturbing signal completely vanished. In CW I only need the notch a

Rick: Sorry, I misunderstood. I guess I thought we were talking about Eagle/Orion radios and I carried the thread forward. That level of notch performance you describe in the SDR is pretty darned goo

Gary, We don't all have the same likes, wants and needs. There is no one-size fits all. The only reason I joined the thread was because a couple of people dinged the Eagle's auto-notcher for not work

Rick, From the rumour mill, the upcoming Icom IC-7610 direct sampling radio will have much better bandpass filtering than the IC-7300. Until it is generally available though, I would not believe any

As long as the Flex is not producing spurious signals to be picked up on its own receiver, turning off other computers and routers should work to eliminate computer noise. The long term fix, is to fi

Stuart, Yes, grounding is a problem here as I can't find a good place on the laptop to attach a ground wire. At home I use a tower and it has plenty of good grounding points. The Eagle seems to be pr

I find a small lug that fits the retaining screw ,solder a short piece of wire to it, and solder the other end to a single Power Pole. This makes it easy to plug and play bonding both inside the shac
