The most common problem could be connections between the band modules and the main unit. Try cleaning all connections thoroughly. I use a soft eraser (for erasing pencil) to clean plug male pins. For

I agree with Rick. I have seen this failure mode in Scouts. However, one more thing beyond cleaning is physical distortion of the connectors inside the radio. They are not as difficult to get at as t
