My dipole is fed with really old twin lead. I think it is one inch spaced, it was made by Saxton Products, and I got it from an OT who was selling most of his old gear and stuff. The wires are solid

Ken, There is a magical length which is about 40 ft. per side (plus/minus a couple of ft.) that seems to work great on all bands (80 thru 10). I've put this type of antenna up at least 50 times at di
