Mine is a Homebrew Triple Core in a 1:1 Current Configuration. It makes the Balun in the back of my MFJ-989C look small. I use it on the 10 foot piece of RG-213 between my Window Line 450 Ohm and the

What is the impedance of the antenna at the feed point where the balun is connected? It most assuredly is not the feedline Z of 450 ohms. Unless the feedline is an electrical 1/2 wave then the feedli

You should rather use a 1:1 current balun Denton. I personally use a home-brew 1:1 current balun that cost about 1/3 as much as what most commercial baluns cost. You can see my balun here: http://www

Sorry Mike, POOR CHOICE! Open your balun (remove the cover) and look at how the two transformers are wound. Both transformers have their windings wound over the pair of stacked toroids. This is bad.

James, In your case, where you have the coax to the antenna buried underground, it actually already has an effective choke on it. So you will probably find no difference when adding another choke. Ho
