I purchased the 18 inch bolt cutters from Harbor Freight. It gives one pause to reflect upon the old adage, "you get what you pay for." The Harbor Freight cutters lasted through approximately 10 - 15

If you only have a dozen or so cuts to make (one tower's worth), use a 1 inch cutoff wheel on a Dremmel tool. It will give you a clean cut with no barbs or sharp edges. Buy a package of the wheels it
