Hi Ed, I have a 72 ft self supporting crank up tower with 20 foot of mast protruding from the top of the tower. A Cushcraft 2 el 40m beam (shorty forty) is just above the base of the tower at 73 feet

That is a lot of antennas on a crankup--what model. how long has it been up, and what windy condx? I have lm470 with only a monstir with no long mast. k7puc __________________________________________

And I worry about having a 3 element Steppir and 7 element 6 meter beam 10 feet over the top of a 70 foot crank up. Which at that height I figure is equal to the 17 square feet that the LM-470 is sup

Those considering stacking might check out Tennadyne's Antenna Fact's #5 Multiple Antennas on the Same Mast. A good techincal basis that winds up about where you would guess you should want to be. Ge

I would do the arrangement of the 3 antennas differently. I currently have  a HyGain TH-11 at the bottom of a 20ft mast and a 2el shorty forty at the top of this mast. Until recently, I had a Force 1

Unfortunately, the Tennadyne Antenna Fact #5 has a significant error. It calculates the Gain factor "G" using dBd and not dBi. Using dBd understates the gain factor by 2.1 dB (or about 60%). That ma
