A simple question: I'm going to put a 5/8 wavelength 10M vertical on a 15' pole (one of the Zero-Five single band 5/8 verticals), with 4 radials as the guys. Are the radials supposed to be 1/4 or 5/8

As many radials as possible, as long as possible. They do NOT have to be 'resonant'. 73 Don N8DE _______________________________________________ _______________________________________________ TowerT

Elevated verts work better with resonant radials (1/4 wave). 3 or 4 as guys would work good will also help your match. good luck! Ron I have sworn upon the altar of God, eternal hostility against eve

Wait....if they are being used as guys, then they are elevated radials and they will be TUNED radials. If they are on/in the ground, they are not tuned. I've played with this same set up and you adju

They do need to be resonant if elevated, not if ground mounted. Four quarter wave will work just fine on 10 at 15 feet. Mike, k5wmg Pipe Creek, Texas Green cars, slow boats, big dogs, old trucks, lit

Don, that's not really true if the radials are elevated, in which case they may be more accurately thought of as a tuned counterpoise. Build a model in EZNEC if you don't believe me. To answer Bill's
