Being on a small residential lot with no room or very tall supports for a 1/2 wave dipole or inverted vee, I bought for 160, one of those "shortened dipoles" which has come up VERY short on results.

Beware of running high power, though - the voltage at the top of the tower can arc over insulated elements, according to anecdotal reports and RF engineer commentary on Towertalk. I have run 200 watt
