- You need a cap is series with the wire....This way you can adjust to whatever freq. you want..... Consult an ARRL antenna book or a handbook....Anything within the last 30 years will do.... 73 and go

- Hi Dick, Put up the length of wire that is resonant by the formula for the frequency on interest. Then cut the counterpoise to resonate the system, not the antenna wire. I would install a choke balu

- One thing I did forget to mention. When I first put this antenna up last week, I hooked 3 radials about 50 feet long to it. That was all I had to test it with. I found a nice resonant point at 1.825
