I am polling for actual experience. Folks who have had both buried and raised 4-square radials. There seems to be an axiom that four (4) raised radials equals 120 buried ones. Is this true in your ex

Gord, VE6SV, wondered: Nope, not at all in a usual installation. Why? Because the elevated radials are supposed to be resonant, or nearly so. This means they have very high electrical field strength

I had my 40m 4sq installed with 8 buried radials under each element at a previous location. Never was happy with its tuning or performance and almost scrapped it when I moved. As an afterthought and
