Has anyone had opportunity to try the Bencher Skyhawk + 402CD (or XM240) combination on the same mast yet? Curious if there are any large interaction issues with this pairing. Mark KI7WX -- FAQ on WW

The 402CD seems relatively impervious to relatively close spacing (6-7 feet) whereas the XM240 seems to cause problems even 10 feet away. I've experienced this with a TH11 and other TowerTalkians hav

I have the XM-240 8 feet over top of a F-12 C-3 with no problem at all.....the booms are 90 deg. de Steve VE6WZ. --Original Message-- From: K7LXC@aol.com <K7LXC@aol.com> To: KI7WX@aol.com <KI7WX@aol.

Interesting. When I turned the XM240 90 degrees from the TH11, it got WORSE. Cheers, Steve K7LXC Tower Tech -- FAQ on WWW: http://www.contesting.com/towertalkfaq.html Submissions: towertalk@contestin

I don't know about the rest of you guys, but I would not want an antenna system where you have to have the booms at 90 degrees to make the thing work. Therefore, you would need dual rotator calibrati

I have had a TH-11 for many years. I agree with Steve. I have tried several 40m dipoles and yagis 10' above it, at different boom angles, and there was interaction on one antenna or another every tim

Brian, Luckily I don't have to do anything like that. I use a prop pitch rotator with a custom built control/indicator unit. It's turning a TH6 / 40-2CD combo so no boom interaction problems. I've se

Well I must admit it was a longshot to find someone that had tried the Skyhawk and the XM240. Thanks to those that reponded, nothing new but I do appreciate the time it takes to type in an answer. Le

I agree Phil. My TH11 interacts with a Hy-Gain 402BA that is 10' above it. Had an old Wilson System One that did not interact at all, so FWIW, take down the 40ty or live with it! 73, Bob, K3GT XM240)

Has anyone tried shorting the reflector to the boom on the XM240 to see if it behaves better with tribanders like the 40-2CD? Do the dimensions have to be changed on the reflector? Tony N2TK Well I m

Does the LPDA manual give a minimum height above ground to get the published specs? Looks to me like 20 and 17 meters will be influenced by the nearness to the ground. (((73))) Phil, K5PC "The Dark

Hi Phil, I don't know what the manual says about the mounting height yet. I don't have it yet. In fact, it may end up being a home brew model. But the Tennadyne T12 is looking pretty good right now.
