What kind of trees? What kind of spacing(s) between supports? An inverted L as you describe should work very well on 80M, but I would try to keep the vertical portion at a distance from the trees. Th

Another thought -- consider a 40M dipole fed with 100 ohm twinlead that you can reconfigure as a tee for 80M. To reconfigure it, simply tie both sides of the feedline together and connect them to the
