Folks... Roger's post..below...raises an interesting question...which comes AFTER his post: Looking for some 9913-flex or Lmr-400 ultra-flex. About 700 to 1000 ft. I won't let 9913 near my tower<:-))

That's why you should put the coax in conduit. Direct burial or on the surface works but you always risk damage from 4 legged and 2 legged critters, machines, rocks, etc. 73, Les W2LK Folks... Roger'

Jim, Look at LMR400DB (direct burial) ... it is "flooded" with a sealing compound that will keep water from wicking. The stuff is very "sticky" and the critters don't like it <G>. 73, ... Joe, K4IK _
