Take a look At Kurt Andress' web site for Yagistress. He has done some very interesting work on various guy materials and their effects on the properties of towers. The alternative is pultruded fiber

I think this is the Polygon rod that some people use for tower guys (W3LPL, N5NA and others). The factory has a minimum so you need to order a bunch of it. It runs about 30% less than Phillystran but
