Mike: Unless you live in a very corrosive enviroment, say coastal closer to the equator I would not worry to much. At least you can see the exposed bolts during scheduled maintenance times. The bolts

I would wire brush or sandblast the bolts and then spray them with cold galvanizing compound. The stuff that is like spray paint but is mostly zinc. michael N6CHV ____________________________________
