I used eznec to model a small beam for my son who is going for his general. 2 element 20 meter yagi on a 10 ft boom the results were pretty good. Any suggestions on how to improve? The driven element

EZNEC is a great tool and fun to use but it sure would be nice if it optimized. I am not sure what you impedance is. I am sure that you can make it direct feed 50 ohms if you can extend the boom a fe

This is why 4nec2 is great. It has a decent optimizer. I believe AC6LA also has AutoEZ which is a front end for EZNEC I am not sure what you impedance is. I am sure that you can make it direct feed 5

I have both, Eznec v6 and 4NEC2. http://www.qsl.net/4nec2/? Eznec is good to create or modify a design. But, to analyse and optimize, 4NEC2 is far better. You can get lot of charts (gain, RL, impedan

My son does a lot of antenna design and modeling for commercial spacecraft antennas, and also other types of antennas, and he swears by 4nec2. He is real good with it. On his last visit here he, just
