I am in the process of moving my tower, and re-cabling the feedlines. I am going to use surplus 3/4" CATV hardline for the two feedlines, each about 350' long. I will need to splice one line (I only

Hello Dan, Most hardline CATV connectors I have seen have robust, high current capacity contacts with the hardline shield, and center conductor. The center conductors are often cinched down with a he

You can build very robust connectors for very little expense, but I think you will find the CATV splice more than adequate. End connectors? As has been mentioned, finding something to mate with eithe

Dan: You can use the standard CATV pin connectors with an adapter. I used a standard CATV adapter to adapter from the pin to a standard N connector. It worked fine through 440. The only problem was t

I've played around with plumbing fittings to make connectors for 1/2 Heliax and several months ago back came up with the following. One of these days I'll write it up with pictures and stick it on my

I just use the 1/2" brass coupling for PL259s. It fits the half inch hard line just fine. I trim the jacket back far enough the center connector will fit through a PL259. I slide the half inch in one

W4AN (SK) deserves credit for the simplest homebrew connector I have seen for 3/4" CATV, using a Home Depot plumbing adapter. I used these for 10 years with zero failures. If you search the Towertalk
