Assuming that the tower is rigged the same way as others I've seen, it would be easier to disable the top section. The lifting cable from the winch is connected to the bottom of the second section. A

I am no engineer, but I alwyas thought i had a stronger tower when I put it up 3/4 of the way and all the sections overlap. I would take it up to your 50 foot level and then try to lock it at that ti
