I'd use a Balun Designs 1115t for that exact application. Use an appropriate sized Tywrap, some Scotch 88 and be done with it. I've had my pre-MFJ XM240 using the stock balun, but if doing it again I

There are no special 402CD requirements, almost any 1:1 Balun will work and be better than the coil of coax. Many have screw terminals where you supply wire leads of the appropriate length to connect
