I was in Finland on business last week. I was hoping to get a chance to see the OH8X towers until I learned that it is about an 8 hour drive from Helsinki. ___________________________________________

I suppose it's to be expected, but it still gave he heart failure to see those guys crawling around through the booms of that antenna without safety harnesses or fall arrest of any sort. There isn't

Yes we all have heard OF OH8X, but has anyone actually HEARD OH8X on 80 or 160 from the USA? I seem to remember hearing them on the higher bands occasionally. Rick N6RK ______________________________

I've worked OH8X on 160/80/40/20/15, and even have QSL cards (with a nice picture of the massive tower) that came through the buro (unsolicited) confirming some of those QSOs (the earlier ones), incl

Base jumpers get their thrill from almost dying, so it's probably a moot point. My oldest son has done a lot of sky diving, but thankfully enjoys life enough not to have ever done any base jumping. S
