hello antenna experts I have an intermitted high SWR on 20 and 15 m; comes and goes; never on 10 meters. could it be a faulty Balun or a loose coax connector or something else ? thanks for your hints
Little vague on the antenna part, what antenna are you using, traps, inductors? Glenn, VA7UO Sent from my iPhone _______________________________________________ ______________________________________
Glenn, The subject title of his post tells what antenna he is referring too. It is the Force 12 C31XR. I have a manual for the C31XR in my files. JK Antennas currently makes their version on the C31X
I have used this antenna as a guest op in the Caribbean and found the 15m SWR to be constantly high in the phone band. The SWR can jump if the elements touch in the wind. If it's not windy at your QT
Kurt, The C31XR is developed from the design of the C3. I have a C3 and have had intermittent SWR issues that turned out to be the matching wire connection. The C31 has a matching cable also. I would
If I recall on the C3, only the 20m DE is connected to the feedline. It's strange that only 10m works for HB9AFI. If the match is bad it will raise the 20m resonant frequency. John KK9A The C31XR is
I would look closely at the possibility that the 20 and 15M elements are touching in any wind. If 10M is solid, then the balun and feedline are good. Not quite familiar with the connection system on
