Hi All, I'm having a problem where one of the cadweld one-shot doesn't have any of the igniting powder in it.  From what I've gathered the main powder material needs a very high temperature to ignite

Jonathan: Consider this failure a learning experience and try another OneShot. Don't risk injuring yourself by fooling around trying to ignite a highly exothermic reaction manually. Caveat Amateur. 7

Neither a propane torch nor a MAPP torch is likely to be effective setting off the Cadweld powder no matter how hot you get it. Cadweld powder burns with an oxidation reaction, and the atmosphere in

Yes, I agree. Discard that puppy and maybe deal with your vendor for a replacement. Why should you cover for this? When I had a professional do my Cadwelds, one or two of them didn't ignite and that
