Yes. Also, download and study my tutorial on Coax and Stubs. http://audiosystemsgroup.com/Coax-Stubs.pdf LMR400 and similar cables are OK, but not worth their additional cost for use on the HF bands.

The coax I was looking at is the DXE-400MAX. It has a stranded center. The JEFA that is 399 for 1000 feet is not a Flex coax but appears to have a solid center conductor. The JEFA that has the strand

Two connectors...big deal. You're going to have a pig tail from the Yagi antenna to the main run of coax anyway. End result: no extra connectors. Why buy 500 feet of flex when all you need is 15 or 2
