I want to replace my RCS-8V remote switch. I need to be able to switch 4 HF antennas. I don't need a remote switch, but would like a switch that can be controlled automatically. SO2R capable would be

The rcs-8v just uses 12v relays so any normal relay drivers should handle it. David Robbins K1TTT e-mail: mailto:k1ttt@arrl.net web: http://www.k1ttt.net AR-Cluster node: 145.69MHz or telnet://dxc.k1

You can buy a Top Ten band decoder and use that to control your RCS-8V. If you want to spent more money you can also purchase their relays. John KK9A I want to replace my RCS-8V remote switch. I need

The TopTen decoders are sink type, while the RCS8-V requires source drivers, I believe - the difference is that TopTen supplies power to the relay box, and the decoder decides which relay gets ground

Top Ten definitely has a source driver option. I have a number of these units and they work fine with my Array Solutions Six Pack relays which have two coax inputs and six outputs for an easy SO2R se

The Six-Pak remote antenna switch has the ability to be re-wired for sink or source. Does the RCS8-V? If not, could one just wire up a 'sink/source' relay (or transistor) bank to take what the decod

There's no inherent polarity in the RCS-8V. You could easily run it with a common hot, and open collector type drivers. I use a kit board from Velleman that has serial data input on two wires (they h
