What makes sense here is to use Yasu's method of K factor with Yaesu rotors and use the Hygain method with Hygain rotors. We don't have enough knowledge of the manufacturer's safety margins to guess

Nope. They're both weight times turning radius. I think I already mentioned that. Regardless, both are approximations of rotator capacity and much better than just square footage. Cheers, Steve K7LXC
