I have been using Full wave loops on 80m since 1987 and have always used 75 Ohm coaxial cable as feedline without a Balun. I know of other hams that use a Balun on a full wave loop. My Loop is Rectan

A simple way to match 100 ohm antennas such as full wave loops or resonant long wires fed at a current maximum is to use a 1/4 WL 75 ohm coaxial transformer. The formula for 1/4 WL matching sections
