First of all, you don't want "pipe". You want aluminum TUBING. You want 2" inch OD aluminum tubing, 6061-T6, 1/4 inch wall. It is not prohibitively expensive or that costly to ship. Gerry Smith, W6TE

First, you need to know what to ask for..... There is no such thing as a 2" OD pipe. Pipe is measured by a nominal ID - what you would ask for is a 1.5 inch IPS Sked 40 or 80, both of which have a 1.

Jason When I got a new awning for my RV, I kept the aluminum tube from the old one and now use it as a gin pole. It is 18' long, about 3-1/2" in diameter, and it light but stiff. It worked very well
