I am getting ready to install 90' of Rohn 25, base section is all done, concrete etc and so are the guying stancheons that are set in concrete as well. I have the first 10' up and hopefully in a few w

John, Have you really looked at the wind load you are considering for this on Rohn 25G? The twisting motions at the top are going to be LARGE and well past what 25G is spec'd. That much wind load is

I have put up a lot of rohn 25 because I have a lot of faith in it. I have found the specs on rohn 35 are under rated. Rohn 25 will handle a lot. BUT I'm not even 'gutsy' enough to try what you are g

John, I used both Phillystran and EHS. I used Phillystran about 2/3 on the top guy connected to EHS 1/4", then about 1/3 Phillystran for the middle connect to EHS 1/4", for the bottom i used just EHS

My preference is the Phillystran. Although it has a tiny bit of stretch the catenary with EHS will allow a lot of movement. ROHN recommends 3/16" EHS . 1/4" would add a lot of weight. Tensioned prope

Without doing the numbers, I agree with Mal. My 97' Rohn 25 has 2 x C3Es on it, at 97 and 69 feet, and a F12 240S 6 feet above the top C-3. That has to be less wind area than you are proposing, and w

If you haven't checked it out, take a look at http://www.k7nv.com/notebook/ . He has done several very relevant engineering analyses of guyed tower mechanics and guying materials. 73, Pete N4ZR _____

After reading it I made the choice to go with Phillystran. OTOH he forgot to include units when talking about elongation. Having used both 1/4" and 5/16" and tensioning it to 10% of the working stren
