- Stainless Steel cable is not as strong, probably why it is not recommended. You can get cable made up for you at Wire Rope and Rigging place, most Cities have one, because they supply the local Crane

- Buddy, Stainless Steel cable is the way to go!!!! You will not have to worry about it for a long time. Just go with one size bigger than the galvanized stuff.... _____________________________________

- Yes and Yes, I have SS cable on both of my crank-up towers for many years and the cables still look and perform as new!!! Yes, the tower manufacture recommends SS cable and sells SS cable replacement
