I just replaced a defective control box with one I got from eBay and everything works except that the meter on comes on when I depress the brake switch. Is there a simple modification that will avoid

I assume you mean the meter reading (direction) changes when the brake lever is depressed. Does it do this when it is not connected to the control line? Sounds like a short between the brake line and

Herb, That's strange ... sounds like someone modified the control box to emulate the original Ham-M. Download the Ham-IV or T2X manual from the Hy-Gain web site and trace the wiring (my guess is that
