- Look on qrz.com for my callsign and the photos there. I have three towers (Universal) with solid fiberglass rod in each leg at the base for insulation. Works fine. Just remember to drill 'drip holes'

- Texas grasshopper style (walking beam) oil well pumps use sucker rods. Some of these are fiberglass and are mucho strong. They can be cut to make excellent insulators. Patrick NJ5G I have three tower
