At what frequency is this N power rating? The voltage rating for an Amphenol N connector is 1500 volts and for a UHF connector it is 500 volts. Unless someone is running at least 3x the legal limit,

Gotta be careful about voltage ratings. Are you talking connector design maximum, dielectric breakdown, or what? And, RMS vs peak vs DC. And, what kind of system is that in (e.g. matched, or with som

That's hard to imagine as the spacing in my UHF connectors is at least double the spacing in the N connectors. 73 Roger (K8RI) _______________________________________________ ________________________

Oh well. I only use quality N connectors outside and PL-259's inside. No issues...Next topic? 73, Jim N9WW James Chaggaris President PowerOne Corp./PowerOne Environmental 1020 Cedar Avenue Suite 203

Voltage ratings might be different because the "test conditions" are different (rise time, frequency of test voltage) There's also the "breakdown through air" vs "breakdown along a surface" issue. __

I've got about 250 ft of Andrew VXL5-50 (7/8-in, tubular center conductor) that I plan to use in a single run. I have several different connectors for 7/8-in line, but none are specifically labeled f

Jim, As far as I know you'll need V5 connectors. I know I've got some V5 DIN females, but I'll check for N's next time I go to the shop. Andrew never made UHF connectors for the VXL5, in fact they no

Yes. You do need the V5 connectors. Or else they won't fit properly. There are a few on EBay. You may want to check with The RF Connection and see what Joel may have. The prices on EBay are actually
