- Dan, I also have this problem. In my case it's an HG52SS with a similar base. I obtained the HyGain stress calc sheets from the parts folks at Hy-Gain, and have had three base legs welded up using in

- Even when the factory bases were still available a local, W3IO, opted to have one made at a local metal shop, it being considerably less expensive. The result was very nice. He can probably give you
