Howdy, TowerTalkians -- I've never tried it personally and generally caution against it but has anyone had any experience lifting a bunch of 45G together, say 100' without bending it in the middle? I

We rigged it from the side because it was eaiser on the crane/operator. The crane was a 140 footer if memory serves, but only about 120 without the jib....and we avoided rigging the jib that way. If

The advantage is that at the critical beginning of the lift, you have lift at the middle of the tower, and at the end of the lift, you are holding the tower at the top, so it hangs mostly vertical. W

Hi, I just telephoned my installer - Bill Simpson. He said it is best to pull up 100 feet with a crane that has 2 winches hooked. Hook one at about 60 or 70 feet and the other at the top if you like.
