Never use a pole as a tram tie off or pull at an angle against the pole. I don't see anything suggesting that. I use a 20', 2", 1/4" wall, 6061-T6 Gin Pole with a double mount (2 clamps) to raise 45G

When I was installing towers many years ago, I would lift the top section (Rohn 25), the rotor plate, the rotor and 70-100 feet of cable on a regular basis. I even raised all of that and a pair of 11

All good suggestions so far. The gin pole is not meant for a lateral load so using a snatch block at the bottom of the tower and keeping all the forces on the gin pole in compression is a good idea.

Your setup sounds a lot like the WB0W gin pole that I use. It is much heavier than the Rohn pole. It easily handles Rohn 45 top section with top plate, thrust bearing, rotor plate, rotor and 10 foot
