I forgot to add that one of the tower strikes was to a 10M EU antenna at 30ft. Vaporized about 15ft of coax and just small remnants of the balun at the feed. So much for the cone of protection.. Ed N

I was joking about the 40 foot tower, but I did have a 130 foot tower on salt water on the Gulf Coast at one time. It was higher that anything for miles. We had plenty of lightning, but I dont think
