    No kidding. The Orion controller is one that only the designer could love.      That's one of the fatal problems with the Orion IMO. The other is the very crappy mast clamp that itself has 2 fat

I have had an Orion RC2800PX running for many years. I've had to replace the reed switch a couple of times due to close lightning strikes. But otherwise no problems. I turn 15 large 6 meter through 2

Thanks everyone, Sometimes you just need to RTFM. I used RG6 for the sense lines for the reed switch as the manual suggests on long runs and all is good. The antenna now turns 360 and the degrees on
