As long as you're going through all this trouble, why not simply buy a (used) vacuum relay, add a reed-relay for the input, replace the bias circuit and make the amp full QSK? 73 .......... Zoran WA7

Usually, we do not need QSK. And the sequencing is done by the processor so it comes "free". It is easier to integrate the named relay than a vacuum one. This is not to say we are not using, now and
