Yes, you need a different center pin. The "correct" type N connectors to fit the #10AWG and #9.5AWG center conductor cables like 9913, LMR400, etc. are readily available from several sources, and the

I have not heard of "Super 8" cable before. If it is same as 9913 or Cushcraft's TL93605 "UltraLink" which is similar but with a foam dielectric rather than a spiral / air dielectric then you need a
