I use old cooking oil myself. Usually have taken recycled cooking oil I deep fried fish cakes in. When it starts to smell up the shack I let the dummy load cool off and the smell goes away with time.

Mineral oil with an antioxidant will work fine - or using straight mineral oil. Canola would work although also has problem of going rancid. But you can change it cheaply My Cantenna-type dummy load
