I have some old Copperweld wire that I'd like to use but in places the copper plating is missing. What would be the best way to make connections at these points? Can I simply wrap new copper wire sec

Throw it out. As soon as the steel is showing, it will rust quickly and break. Wrapping wire around it and even soldering will not restore the original strength. I've used lots of this stuff on vario
