- anodizing is probably the best thing to do. Alodining is also effective, and there are several types of brush on alodines. You can get pretty colors too - for instance the bright blue of TV antennas

- Dick, I don't see why it would not work. It is a Lacquer based primer and should not contain any lead products. However, I would query the SteppIR folks to be safe. The primer I use is: "Dupli-Color"
