HI all I have been looking high and low for my "Low Band DX'ing" book but can't find it. I want to re-do the phasing lines on my 3 40 meter verticals and can't remember what the length should be for

Hi All If 90 degrees is 360/4 (1/4 wave) then is 72 degrees 360/5 (1/5 wave)? Would that make a 72 degree phasing line 23.4 feet (133/5 * .88)? Then an 80 degree phasing line would be 26.1 feet (133/

Hi Tom, Your question has been discussed many times on TowerTalk. Coaxial lines can NOT simply cut coaxial lines to produce 72 and 80 degree phase delays in an array of phased verticals, because the

To cut your 72 degree line using an analyzer, convert it to a freq where it's a 1/4 wave. For 7 mhz, a 72 deg line would be a 1/4 wave or 90 degree line at 8.75 mhz. easier to measure this way. Frank

Tom, You're doing pretty well with your high school math. To make it general, just divide the desired (matched) phase shift by 360, then multiply this by the length for one wavelength. So for 72 degr

I am surprised that no one on this reflector has never mentioned using a "T" phasor for phasing either two verticals or two horizontal dipoles. Yes, there is a very complex phases due to close proxim

In general, you need 4 adjustments to get two antennas properly phased and matched to 50 ohms. This can be done with two matching networks. The transmitter goes through the first matching network and

OK all you TTers. What do those of you that have phased arrays do with your phasing lines? Just move them to mow? Remove them in the "off" season. Suspend them. Bury them. I am considering two vertic

I have my lines (1/2 inch CATV hardline) from 80M 4 Square in gray PVC, laying on top of ground. You could do that and just have the top of the PVC flush with top of ground and make it easy to get to
